By accessing or using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself.

The Coterie Society provides personal introductions and matchmaking suggestions. We do not guarantee that you will be matched, that any introduction will lead to a relationship, marriage, or any particular outcome, or that any other person’s information is accurate. Introductions are offered as a service of opinion and effort, not a promise of results.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for your interactions and conduct with anyone you are introduced to. You agree not to misrepresent yourself, harass others, or use the service for any unlawful or harmful purpose.

You understand that interacting with and meeting other people carries inherent risks. You are solely responsible for taking reasonable safety precautions before, during, and after any communication or meeting. We do not conduct criminal background checks on participants and make no representations about any individual’s character, conduct, or intentions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Coterie Society, Michelle personally, and our respective owners, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, partners, and anyone working with, for, or in partnership with Michelle (collectively, the “Released Parties”) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to emotional distress, loss of data, loss of profits, personal injury, or damages arising from your interactions with other participants — whether based in contract, tort, or otherwise, arising out of or related to your use of the service.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the service; (b) your conduct or communications with any other participant; (c) your breach of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

By using the service, you consent to receive communications from us by email and SMS related to your profile, matches, and the service. You may opt out at any time via your communication preferences page; standard message and data rates may apply to SMS.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may request deletion of your profile at any time.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
